Winter Roller Hockey Academy based out of South Edmonton Soccer Centre still has spots available.
The Academy will be run on 7 weekends with two groups of players participating. The players will receive instructions from experienced coaches on how to correctly play the sport of roller hockey. They will work on systems, communication, puck movement, positioning, attacking and defending specific systems and there will be a little time carved out for scrimmages. We will have Goalie instructors in the classes to work with the goalies as well. Players will be provided colored practice jerseys to better control the players and game situations on the surface.
GROUP 1 DETAILS (SATURDAY MORNINGS)
- All Skates are 7:00am to 8:30am (players expected to be onsite 20 to 30 minutes prior to skate)
- All 7 weekends will take place at the South Edmonton Soccer Centre - 6520 Roper Road NW, Edmonton
- Jersey rental has a $50 refundable deposit attached to it
- Group 1 Birthyears (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012)
- Drop-in rate is $35 per session (cap of 6 spots available per group)
- Goaltenders are $75 (cap of 5 spots available in each group)
GROUP 2 DETAILS (SUNDAY MORNINGS)
- All Skates are 7:00am to 8:30am (players expected to be onsite 20 to 30 minutes prior to skate)
- All 3 weekends will take place at the South Edmonton Soccer Centre - 6520 Roper Road NW, Edmonton
- Jersey rental has a $50 refundable deposit attached to it
- Group 2 Birthyears (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016) Only 3 Sessions starting on February 8
- Season Pass $75 (3 sessions)
- Goaltenders are $50 (cap of 5 spots available in each group)
*The Edmonton Soccer Centre has admission fees for viewers during the winter months. Parents or family members between the ages of 18-59 will be required to pay to view a participant
